Brand Obsession - A.L.C.

Nordstrom at Barton Creek Mall has worked over the past few months to amp up it’s mid-to-high fashion game. Namely, bringing in a great selection of A.L.C. This brand has a chic lady-like look with just enough edge to not feel cute. With A.L.C, you’ll get gorgeous prints, great basics and confidence that you won't see your outfit all around town. Trousers are expertly cut; slimming and lengthen the leg at the same time. I was most impressed with how the clothes looked much more lux than their price point (which is admittedly high).
For Fall, I’m obsessed with chunky sweaters paired with pencil skirts. Add a pair of tights and booties when the weather cools (if that in fact ever happens in Austin...). The fashion mags show cable knit sweaters tucked into high-waisted skirts, but I favor leaving them un-tucked.
On a recent client shopping trip, I fell hard for this Dolce&Gabbana-esque skirt and paired it with a winter white sweater. It also goes gorgeously with brightly-colored blouses, leather and even denim.

This fabulously thick knit skirt is gorgeous on. We paired it with several items including a gray Vince sweater and an oxblood leather jacket. I also loved it with a crisp white button down or simple t-shirt for a casual day.

We didn't see this lovely gem at the store sadly. It would be so perfect with navy, forest green or red.

Here are the trousers I mentioned above. The center seam has the most amazing affect on the leg. Who doesn't want longer looking legs?
